Staying Safe with IE9

Finally!!  After Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer 9 is here and this time the Microsoft has opened it for everyone without so much as a problem so far. After so many previous versions with many flaws, Microsoft released a new and powerful browser that can blow your mind. Internet Explorer 9 was just released and the users are still playing with its user interface from Microsoft. This new web browser is described by many reviewers as the fastest, cleanest and smoothest version ever released by Microsoft. It really suits the Windows 7 operating system very well with its chrome look and feel.

The internet Explorer 9 offers users a clean and secure browser compared to the previous releases with its new security and privacy features. The previous Internet Explorer browsers were not so much safe to use while surfing online as malware and viruses can easily enter the computer with ActiveX controls and other means. Featuring new ways of filtering dangerous content from the internet, the Internet Explorer 9 carries with it anti-phishing and anti-online tracking scheme. The new browser now includes filtering of the ActiveX controls for a safer browsing against malicious software. ActiveX filtering feature allows the users to select which websites can run ActiveX controls. By doing this, the ActiveX controls will only be used on the websites that the users trust and can greatly lessen the number of ways cybercriminals may harm the users. The Internet Explorer 9 browser also offers a better warning system for unwanted dangerous downloads called Application Reputation. It helps the users to make trusty decisions when downloading stuff from the internet.

Also, the new browser protects users’ privacy from online tracking way better now with the introduction of Tracking Protection. As there are a huge number of websites that make use of technologies that enable tracking any random user’s browsing activity, the new Internet Explorer 9 helps protect private user information from third-party trackers by allowing you to have the option to add or remove websites from a Tracking Protection list. Since there are many things that computer users would want to keep private for plenty of reasons. Regardless of what reason any user has, Internet Explorer 9 makes it simple to delete private data of your choice in just a few clicks with the new Delete Browsing History feature.

The new Internet Explorer 9 also features a new functionality somewhat like Google Chrome’s Incognito browser. IE 9 calls it the In Private browsing. In Private browsing helps stop the browsing history cookies, temporary internet files, and much other information from being remembered by the browser. By pressing Ctrl + Shift + P, the Internet Explorer 9 will open a new browser session that won’t store any information about any web pages you visited or even the keyword searches you did. It’s just like nothing happened after closing the In Private browsing.

However, even with the new and nice features of the Internet Explorer 9 that will help users to protect themselves from online crimes and malware, you should always practice safe browsing, keeping away from dangerous sites and never lower down the anti-malware security of the computer.
